My neighbor who has a camp in her house asked me if I can sub for her when she goes on a 3 day vacation. Since I wasn't doing much this week I happily agreed to sub for her. Yesterday as I was walking to my neighbors house I get a call from a parent of two of the girls in the camp. "Hello, this is Rabbi Yisrel, my girls are supposed to be meeting at the Horowitz's after camp I was wondering if you would be able to walk them there after camp?"
"No problem Rabbi Yisrel, I would be more then happy to."
After camp when I walked them over to the Horowitz's I asked Elisheva Horowitz if she can walk them back to my neighbors house, thats where the girls grandfather will be picking them up at 2:30. I figured I'll clean my neighbors house from camp and I'll be able to be there when their grandfather picks them up.
2:15 I get a call from Elisheva to tell me that the girls were picked up. Alittle bit later I heard someone knocking at the door, I peeked through the window and I saw girls grandfather.
"Uh-oh"
I opened the door, and told him that they were at Horowitz, I gave him the address and he left.
"OK that's strange I thought the girls were picked up."
A half hour later I was about to leave my neighbors house when I saw on their coffee table a book that looked interesting. I picked it up and started reading it.
As I was reading I heard some noises out side the door, I opened the door to see non other then the girls standing in the driveway.
"Uh what? Weren't you girls picked up?"
'where trying to find our grandfather."
I immediately called Elisheva, She told me that they were picked up by a older friend of the girls and when the grandfather came Mrs. Horowitz gave him the address to the girls friend. The girls were out with their older friend, and she just dropped them off at my neighbors house. We ended up getting in touch with the grandfather and the girls waited with me at my neighbors house till the grandfather came to pick them up. (H.P. that I stayed to clean up and read that book,if I didn't who knew how they would of gotten home)

It was after the meal on friday night, and I was really really tired and looking forward to a good night sleep. I was about to go into bed when I remembered that I forgot to get Negal Vasser. I was so tired and so close to being in bed that I just told myself to go to bed and forget about Negal Vaser tonight, and in the morning I'll just ask someone to fill it up for me. In the end I decided to just get the Negal Vaser. When I got to the bathroom I saw that I forgot to take out my contacts, now I have very sensitive eyes and if I sleep with my contacts on for one night it can really harm my eyes! (and I forgot my retainer)

I was cleaning my papers and things up and I found directions to and art project that I had taken home one day from camp to read and I forgot to bring it back to camp. So today I was planning on bringing it over to the art directors house, an hour later theres a knock at the door and yup it was non other then the art director herself! ( is this a sign that its ok to be lazy!?!?!)

My flight was early Monday morning, I was coming home from my cousins Bar Mitzvah in Lakewood. I had to be at work 1:00 Monday afternoon, I landed 11:00 so I had just enough time to go home grab something to eat and run off to work. When I got home, my father told me that one of the afternoon teachers had called and asked if they can have a ride with me to school. I called her up and told her "No problem I will pick you up a quarter to one." I was exhausted and before I knew it, it was time for me to head out the door.
"Ta, I'm taking the van, bye have a good day" I said with a half yawn.
"Actually," my father said "Please take the car and not the van first of all, Ima might need the van and second of all it cost more gas when you take the van."
I was so tired and annoyed and the last thing I wanted to do was drive the old jaloppy car, which has no air conditioner, and feels like your driving a hunk of tin on 3/4 wheels.
"Who cares about gas prices, I dont want to take the car" I said.
I went to go pack up my bag, while complaining about the old car, and plus I was embarrased to drive the teacher in our rickety car.
My father seeing how tired and upset I was came over to me right before I was about to leave and told me I can take the van.
At first I was really happy and grateful, but on second thought I realized it was not the right thing to do, its my parents who are putting out all the money for the gas. Now I had the problem that I didnt know which car to take.
I ended up not taking the van and taking the car, and although I was a bit embarrased, I knew I was doing the right thing.
I picked up the teacher, the ride was a bit shaky and bumpy but we got to school safely. As soon as I got to school my supervisor came right over to me.
"Oh its Hasgacha Pratis that I met you here, I was about to leave. Remember that survey you had to fill out a few months ago? Well whoever filled it out in time was put into a raffle, and I wanted to tell you that your name was picked from everyone!"
"Oh thanks, what did I win?"
A 50$ Gas card!"
